Event Description
An interprofessional team of staff and students from QUB’s Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences (MHLS) will provide a ‘Physiology Health Check’ campus event for staff and students during 2023 NI Science Festival week.
Student ‘Volunteer Health Assessors’ will provide volunteer participants, Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, Peak Expiratory Flow Rate, Blood Glucose measurements during their ‘Physiology Health Check’. Participants will receive a written report of their results and advise on lifestyle adjustments to maintain optimum physical health. If results are outside the ‘normal’ range, participants will be guided to seek medical advice.
Appropriately qualified QUB staff will be present at all times to provide professional oversight of the event.
