From Crumlin to Chelyabinsk - Tales told by meteorites
Event Description

In 1902 a meteorite the size of a loaf of bread crashed into a field near Crumlin in Co Antrim. More than a century later, in 2013, a meteorite the size of a five-story building disintegrated above the city of Chelyabinsk, in Russia.

Where had they come from? How did they affect people on the ground? What can they tell us about the history of our Solar System over more than 4.5 billion years? Join Dr Mike Simms, the Ulster Museum’s meteorite expert, to discover the astonishing story revealed by these visitors from Outer Space.
