Event Description
Take a peek behind the scenes at Hillsborough Castle with this unique guided tour, which will reveal all sorts of fascinating facts about the scientific methods used to preserve our historical artefacts. From furniture and paintings, to the silverware and clocks displayed in the State Rooms of Hillsborough Castle, each item has its own particular requirements to ensure it remains in tip-top condition.
Led by Castle and Collections Manager, David Orr, you’ll see first-hand the techniques used to care for our collections, including a special behind-the-scenes visit to rooms which aren’t accessible on our regular tours. You’ll also have the chance to meet one of our highly skilled specialist conservators, who will gladly answer any questions you might have!
Price includes admission to Hillsborough Castle’s 100 acres of world-famous gardens.
